In this week’s episode, Asuka suffers PTSD and other hijinks.
Episode 17 Notes:
Ratirisses – The Trinoid this week is Ayameganezumi He’s made up of an iris flower (ayame), glasses (megane) and a rat (nezumi).
This Trinoid, similar to our squid Trinoid back in episode 9, ends his sentences with a verbal tick. This Trinoid ends his sentences with “dechuu”, with “chuu” being the sound a mouse makes. So that’s why he makes mouse and rodent related puns.
Kappore – This is usually performed at traditional banquet parties. It became popular in Japan through parade performances. The fun dance is highlighted by performers shouting “Kappore, Kappore” in unison as they kick up their heels.
“Seasonal Mountain Rainge” – The Trinoid takes a “seasonal rain front” and slaps “mountain range” at the end of it. Since “seasonal rain front mountain range” would be a mouthful, we went with a succinct way to handle it.
See you guys next week!
