This week, we have a kind of-sort of two parter (but not really) with Abare Black’s introduction and we learn more about his relationship with Jeanne a bit too. Asuka really shines in these episodes (more so the second than the first).
Episode 7 Notes:
Magneetledron – This week’s Trinoid is made of a magnet (Jishaku), a rhododendron (Shakunage), and a diving beetle (Gengorou).
Bracchio’s Line – “If there is peace, someday the flowers shall bloom-bra.”
Going back to the song motif, this is a lyric from JAKQ Dengeki-tai’s ED, “Itsuka, Hana ga saku darou?” or “Someday, the flowers will bloom, right?”.
Episode 8 Notes:
Eroica – The literal name for this Giganoid is “Hero”, but he’s based on Beethoven Symphony No. 3, which was named Eroica (italian for “Heroic”). We went with this naming convention to make the musical reference more obvious. Oh, and if it wasn’t ENTIRELY obvious, he’s also based on Ultraman.
Bracchio’s Line – “Stand! Stand-bra, Asuka!”
Bracchio’s line for this episode is apparently a reference to a line said by Danpei Tange from the “Ashita no Joe” boxing manga, which is verbatim, except the titular Joe is in Asuka’s place.
See you guys next week!
