This week we have 2 adventures for you all. In the first, Yukito has to deal with a dissatisfied costumer and gives an acupuncture treatment to a Dynasaur. It’s a fun little episode for Yukito, especially with how clever he is in how he solves his problems.

In the following episode, I’M READY, WE ARE ALL LADY… ahem. Ranru meets up with an old idol friend of hers and the Trinoid proves that youth is truly wasted on the young.

Episode 5 Notes:
No Trinoid this time! All of Voff’s Giganoids are usually named with one word, so they’re infinitely easier to deal with.

Bracchio’s Line – “Haste makes waste.”
This is actually a proverb that Bracchio is quoting and it literally means “Mistakes are made in a hurry”. I used a functionally similar English equivalent.

Episode 6 Notes:
Vacuumegronkey – The Trinoid this week is Zakurobacuum, made up from a pomegranate (zakuro), a donkey (roba) and a vacuum.

Bracchio’s Line – “What one must have is friends-bra.”
Bracchio’s line for this episode is a Japanese idiom that… really has no direct English counterpart. But the meaning should be clear anyway from the translation. Friends are what you need.

See you guys next week!

  1. Actually, one quick note to help you out: all of the Giganoids are named after symphonies (well nicknames for symphonies). The first one, “Fate”, is the nickname for Beethoven’s famous 5th symphony.

    1. I kind of figured that out when I got to later Giganoids and recognized the pieces.😄 Thanks for pointing that out though. I’ll be sure to point to which piece each Giganoid is based off of.

  2. Hey, when you guys get to episode 10, don’t forget to mention the manner in which that particular episode was used in its Power Rangers counterpart, Dino Thunder.

  3. Thank you so much for doing this! Abaranger was my first sentai but I watched it raw and it appears there’s a lot of plot I missed out on. The HK subs were incomprehensible even by their standards, then one group starts it and drops it, then *another* group starts it but drops it… I thought I was never, ever going to get to see the series in a manner that let me know *what the smeg was going on.*
